The medical, almost “elemental” character of the Islay malt whiskies was the inspiration for using the traditional medical laboratory bottle and for using an “element” symbol and batch number (e.g. Lp1) to depict each distillery in the label design for “The Elements of Islay” by Speciality Drinks Ltd.
The bottle, called “pharmacy”, is also set apart from more traditional bottles, by its 50cl content. The individual whiskies within the range are bottled at full proof, either as single cask or as individual batches of between 5 and 20 single malt casks.
Recommended retail price ranges from £40 to £180 or €48 to €215,-
