Macallan 1824 Collection, Limited Release DecanterMacallan 1824 Collection Limited Edition MMXI draws on some of the oldest and rarest casks on The Macallan Estate. Each year’s bottling will be different, Travel Retail prices ranging from $60-$2500, and only 1824 decanters have been made for 2009.

The 2009 release is bottled at 48% abv and drawn exclusively from sherry seasoned Spanish oak casks, which have been solely grown, cared for and crafted by the Tevasa cooperage. The liquid is displayed in a handcrafted crystal decanter, which has been decorated by a scottish silversmith.
The most premium expression in the 1824 collection is presented in a beautiful decanter, topped with a silver dress stopper and set in a luxurious rosewood burl display box. It is available in selected airports around the world.

A limited edition Macallan decanter first unveiled at Changi airport in October 2009 and originally a travel retail exclusive. A combination of some of Macallan’s finest sherry casks, bottled in a Limited Release Decanter 70cl at 48%.

Recommended retail price €1800,- $2500 or £1550.

  1. Just found the confirmation that this is the most expensive bottle in the range and that the recommended retail price was €1800,- $2500 or £1550.
    SO back again into Category-2.

  2. Just moved this bottle from category-2, to category-1.

    Initially I found information with prices around € 1000 (£ 800). This however proves to be the current price (less than a year after introduction).

    I now found multiple sources that show that the Recommended retail price was £110, $170 or €130,-
