Antarctic Whisky Cabinet by Alfred DunhillAlfred Dunhill and Whyte & Mackay, owners of Mackinlay Scotch Whisky, have worked together to create a piece of furniture worth fighting over: the Dunhill Antarctic Whisky Cabinet, stocked with the 2011 release of the Mackinlay’s Rare Old Highland Malt Whisky 1907 blend.

Inspired by Shackleton Mackinlay’s replica Highland malt, a whisky that was buried and hidden by explorers in Antarctica almost a century ago. Whyte & Mackay replicated 50000 bottles of the ultra-rare 100 year old whisky.

The exceptional hand-crafted Dunhill oak cabinet is decorated with hand-carved marquetry depicting a map of Antarctica, and houses every luxury item the whisky connoisseur could require: lead crystal and sterling silver bar accessories including a British lead crystal glass decanter, and four handmade lead crystal glasses. An Alfred Dunhill branded sterling silver water carafe and sterling silver ice bucket are intricately decorated with a replica of the original whisky bottle label are also found in the cabinet; in addition to, sterling silver tongs and hip flask fill funnel are complemented with leather coasters. The cabinet is complete with a rare 1909 first edition copy of “The Heart of the Antarctic” book, chronicling Shackleton’s experiences and three bottles of The Mackinlay Rare Old Highland Malt.
